The National Garden Bureau has announced the six plant classes that will be featured in the 2023 “Year of the” program.

- Annuals – Celosia
- Bulb crop – Amaryllis
- Edibles – Broccoli
- Perennials – Rudbeckia
- Flowering shrubs – Spirea
- Houseplants – Orchid
Photos of all plants are available now, for download at no charge on the National Garden Bureau website.
The extra coverage of these plants by the NGB and associated agencies could yield increased demand for these plants in the coming year for some growers. We encourage growers to discuss the potential for increased demand with your customers and adjust your 2023 forecasts and production plans accordingly.
